Hi,

I don't think the dims are bad but I'd say leave out the keels. You don't need them with nice sharp rails. I made a pinewood tombstone-shaped paipo with a little concave at the back and it works fine. Mine's dimensions were 17" tapering to about 14 at the tail.

I have a 3/4" thick ply board about the same dimensions as Littlefoot's. Maybe a 1/2" wider in the nose & tail. That board is loose & good in the barrel. but I found the 14.5" tail too narrow to spin the board with. Just finishing up a tombstone shaped board that's 44" x 20.5" x 19". Shaped this one for knee/ drop knee riding. Hope to test it soon.
