mike and i are in the same boat. but, neither one of us will be traveling by boat to the paipopalooser! someone please tell us where or we will have our own mini-gathering in the coronado shore pound!
mike, road the ugly in the oside shore pound this morning. the only board i've made that comes close to the "chip" you made. i miss that lil board. i hope to get it "fixed" one day...

If anyone can follow-up with the chap in Central California with the bonzer paipo please do and try to get him down for the gathering. Also hope that our other Ventura and northern friends can make it. A reminder on Swaylocks?

if i did connect with him, what would i tell him? where exactly is this happening? who's in charge here? wouldnt it be good if the message was clear? san clamente, sano? the camp spot different to the gathering site? where are we surfing? is anyone surfing?

Okay,
Can we get a head count as to who is coming and when?
Is anyone still camping and if so, when and what sites?
Am I correct that mrmike and Soulglider are only there Saturday and not staying the night?

as of right now, i might come up friday and stay saturday but, still not sure. i am bringing a friend at least one of the days. it basically depends on him. if he can come down friday we will probably camp if not, we'll drive up saturday. hope its NOT too confusing!

We have three campsites in a row, 121, 123 and 125. I heard most of the free beer will be at 121. 
So far we just have one vehicle (total) confirmed for spaces 123 and 125. Mike & Soulglider or ??? might consider driving up in two vehicles, and leaving one truck or van behind stuffed with boards for the weekend. |

I can leave my truck and/or loan camp gear if that helps anyone out.
We should plan on meeting up at the campsites Friday afternoon and again Saturday morning but I'm not sure State Beach surf will be mutually acceptable....
Yesterday's weather was beautiful, today was just odd.
Thick marine layer sliding in and out all day and wind out of the south/east........
Water temps still in the upper mid 60's.

Griff, the bonzer paipo guy with the Pat Flecky boards, will be coming down on Saturday with some Flecky boards and an Austin paipo. He may need a campsite parking spot but think we will try to make a pickup at the visitors section and go to the campsites/surf spots from there.
What's cookin' up for breakfast on Sat morning? Don't forget the campsite expresso makers!
