hello, my name is javi,i´m basque and i´m from Bilbao.
It´s a long time that i read this forum and this is my first topic.
i started with bellyboard a long years ago then continued with bodyboard and some surf. i´m bored and i´m thinking in building a small paipo or a original boogie board that appears in http://www.rodndtube.com/paipo/forum/viewtopic.php?t=905
if anyone can help tell me which are the real materials for these booger.

thank you, and sorry for my english.

my wave is in LAGA beach, near Mundaka.

"kaixo" means "hello" in basque and "good bye" "agur", so agur folks

Kaixo Javi,

On the page you referred to: http://www.rodndtube.com/paipo/forum/viewtopic.php?t=905

there are three possibilities being referred to:

1.Kid showed pictures of boards made from paulownia wood.
2.Poobah referred to a method of modifying rather than constructing a bodyboard
3. UncleG posted an old ad - probably 1970s?

If you want info on wooden bellyboards/paipo or fibreglass boards plenty of info in the forum archives. Regarding bodyboards - some links for making bodyboards below - others will know more:

Regarding the last one -Neira is from Galicia.

I was in Basque country last year, 10 kms over the border in France. Did a day trip to San Sebastian with my wife. Hoping to get a few days over
there again next year.

regards

Bob

thanks, i´m trying to build an old-school bogger, like the first flex boogie board.
the next time that you come here, you must see MUNDAKA , ELANTXOBE , LAGA and LAIDA, just look for them in google.
good parties, good food and better people.
thanks again

Javi,

The links may be f some use then - you'll have to post an update of how you got on.

We caught the train from Hendaye to SB rather than driving - I'm used to driving on the other side of the road so I try to avoid driving as much as I can. Because we were there mid July and it was mostly small, fun surf until the very last day I thought around Mundaka wouldn't have had much surf. Feel free to correct me on this.

Bob
