aloha from seattle. just discovered this forum and all the wealth of info here from you all that was invaluable when getting my first board made a few months ago.
have boogie-boarded since the early 80's growing up in hawaii, then moved the the pac nw in the early 90's. wanted to try something a lil different and found a guy here in seattle who shaped me a paipo/bodyboard-shaped hybrid from foam. got to try it out a few weeks ago in hawaii with some small waves in town.
at first, it was really hard to turn (i ride dropknee). it took some getting used to and using smaller fins (vektor) to feel a little better. only got to ride it for 2 days and really was able to feel all the differences from a sponge. will try to figure out how to post some pics... |

Welcome to the group! The best way to post pictures is via Photobucket. Please keep pictures to a 600 pixel width or smaller - feel free to link to larger sizes. The larger than 600 pixel pics tend to make a lot of screens ultra wide and you have to scroll back and forth.
Look forward to your photos and paipo evolution stories. _________________ rodNDtube
