FWIW
I've been using epoxy for years with no trouble whatsoever.
Epoxy does not require an abraded surface when being used to glue most woods.
Low clamping pressure means just that. I use masking tape. |

I think when you need abraded surface w/ epoxy is for super smooth stuff like PVC or hardened polyester resin. There you won't get a chemical bond and need the texture for a mechanical one. We most wood there is already enough texture plus since you get some absorption on both sides, that ends up making for a mechanical bond |

what I have learned over the years is most people clamp the wood to death! then you have almost no bonding left. you only need enought pressure to see some glue come out of the joint. If you are trying to make two uneven joints match you got a problem the joint should have no gaps before you start to glue _________________ PAIPO ON
