this here paipo was made by Brian Hilbers of Fineline Surfboards up in canoga park. its 4'11x21.5 modified velo tail and what he calls his geebee template. hees an awesome feller who really knows his sh1t! we'll see how his interps work! the rails are fully bladed out in the tradional hull manner, the bottom is a fullon hull belly and hees makin the fin fer it, a full flex fin. enjoy!

"Gee Bees came to be regarded as totally treacherous aircraft, certain to kill whoever flew them. It was an unfair judgment, for the crashes were most often the result of inadequately prepared pilots attempting to fly a very sophisticated aircraft." |

Nice board. I'd like to give those foam & glass boards another try as a prone vehicle; I always end up on the knee on those things. |

i'm with you. this one for sure but, at 6'5 and 225 i sink my black magic unless its juicy. my finless 3/4" thick paipos are made from foam and are finless, i have no chance kneeriding those but, i like that they're made from foam and the flex seems to be just right. try 'em brah, find a beeter surfboard, strip the glass (aint that hard, just messy) and reshape a paipo. they're light and very fast. _________________ soulglider

awesome 'jaws' board! i have had 2 hulls by scott anderson, and in clean point or point-like conditions, with a raked- out flex fin, man, there is nothin better or even comparable! i've gotta majic quiver of eggs, hull, (though i only ride it in clean, lined-up waves), kneeboards (over 26 yrs.), heavy, traditional longboard. all FUN!! would LOVE to try THAT board!! may have to call fineline........hmmm |
