Stopped by Mollusk yesterday on the way to the concert in GG Park (still trying to recover from that). They had the round nose "Shark Biscuit". That thing was even smaller than I thought - about 36" long, 18" wide. Made of birch? 7 ply ; looked like 3/4". Lots of lift in the nose, but otherwise flat- no side rocker. Rounded rails; oiled finish and a cork deck pad. Well made board, but not really my thing. |

"hey nels, you comin down for the sd sacred craft? if you are lets get together."
I'm not sure, was thinking about it but I have things all day and into the evening in Ventura County on that Saturday. And I have things drawing me every which way but south for all the other days of my lives...it's not looking promising.
But that said, there is nothing like seeing the boards live, same as seeing the Hess paipo at Mollusk...the Sacred Craft in Ventura was the first of those shows I was able to attend...Hess handboards plus nearly every other board you have seen or heard of in the nooks and crannies of cyberspace, plus plenty you haven't dreamed of. Like the clear hollow fiberglass boards with CNC cut cardboard for al the interior bits (think hollow wood but this was cut corrugated roll stock).
Anybody who can make it ought to take photos of your own stuff or what you are riding - there was a huge sharing vibe.
OG-AZN - was that Hardly Strictly Bluegrass at GG? I have heard Good Things about those shows |

^Yeah it was Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Amazing line up over 3 days and all free! Only downside was there were times when 2 or more acts that I wanted to see were playing at the same time on the many different stages spread out in the park. Too bad OB wasn't surfable this weekend. |
