Not exactly surfcraft...limited strictly to concrete.

But it was the prone or kneelo answer to skateboards to be sure

And was part of every hip beach kids quiver....

Dunno what my mom did with mine, but I'd like to have another.

I'm pretty sure they quit making them - as kids had too many accidents...

The sled with wheels.....

Modern sensibility demands kids sit in boxes which go nowhere and do nothing, possibly to prepare them for future corporate career paths.

I don't know if they even make the snow sleds like that any more (if so then perhaps modifications could occur). All I see in stores are plastic things with no directional controls (see my earlier post).

However, like many things I have fond memories of, this kind of thing seems to show up in antique stores with alarming regularity. A decade ago my father used to comment on things from his childhood appearing in museums. Time only moves faster these days. I heard that new Surf City surf museum is putting out feelers to buy "afterlife" rights to select marketable surf gods. Think Roy and Trigger... Shocked

great...the stuffed kelly slater in the surf museum, alongside the (prestuffed ) pamela anderson. That'd be edifying, all right.

Remember fastening roller skate stuff to a piece of wood? Hell, if they brought out skateboards now, the maker would be litigated into extinction in a year.
