Dale Solomonson, crafter of Neumatic Surfcraft, explorer of things paipo, endured a moderate heart attack on Saturday October 7, 2006. He has undergone related surgery and is recovering in a Corvallis, Oregon, hospital. If all continues as expected he should return home prehaps early this week.

His wife Mary wanted to get the word out to Dale's many friends and customers. As this is so sudden and unexpected things will probably take some time to sort out. Some rest and recovery time will obviously be needed for Dale, so those with surfmat orders please continue to be patient. This is quite literally a case of better late than never.

Updates will be posted as new info becomes available or until Dale returns to cyberspace.

Thanks for taking the lead on this, PaipoJim, and Nels, for letting us know.

A speedy and healthy recovery, Dale!

I visited with Dale as he left the hospital. He was walking, talking, and looked pretty good for a man who just had a heart attack; although they did install a stent in one of his arteries.

The doc told him that it might very well be possible that he could eventually get back in the water if his recovery goes well.
