I was just reading a sandboard thread over on Swaylock's, and I got to thinking about peanut shapes. Any of you ever mess around with peanut shaped paipos? Ukelele handboards?

Well I think we already have lots of "half"-peanut shaped boards. As is pointed out in the thread on Swaylock's, the function of the wide tail of a snowboard or sandboard is to act as a skeg when you are heeled over. The HPD's and other designs with a wide tail are also utilizing this same principle.
