Having fun riding (Austin) Paipo and (4GF) Mat in surf just in front of the cottage for a week now. Will be grilling some fish that came off the boat this AM. Life is good.

Buxton has been breaking better than OBX in general and is supposed to pick up some more in a couple days.

I am still more able on the Paipo then the Mat but am detirmined to get better on the mat because I do like the feel and its practicality for travel. In the mean time the Paipo padlles out and takes off easy and goes where ever point it.

I still occasionally wonder if the Paipo might get a little extra something if it had even less rocker and sharper edges throughout.

Anyway, getting some nice rides albeit in small waves (~3'). Been in the water 4-5 hours a day so am feeling good.

Will be here until Aug 14 .. drop in if you are in the area. (Sea Escape (cottage) on Cottage Rd Buxton NC.)
