Bud McCray just sent me a link on this one, too. Not much time left -- anyone from the forum bidding on it? _________________ rodNDtube

that thing sold for three hundred and fifteen frickin' dollars , to a hard core collector with more money than brains who has spent a few thousand bucks on collector toys so far this year alone. It's a shame there isn't an emoticon for 'gibbering idiot', it'd fit well. There's a few of those.....
The only thing crazier - the buy it now price on this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3666464274 - a plastic made for Jeff Hakman means one of 50+ boards a year. Hakman was one of their touring pros and he gave away several at every stop/surf shop he hit - usually to the surf shop team guys, and he'd have a few more waiting for him at the next stop. There's a couple of those ( and a few of Gary Chapman's and a few of Roger Kincaid's ) team model Plastics still kicking around my neighborhood.
gah... I can build a dining room table for $315.... Using better wood too. |
