My surf buddy is stuck in Waikiki with no gear while a mackin' south swell is hitting Oahu. He would love to ride a bodyboard or paipo. Can?

If your friend can't get a face to face hook up on O'ahu. I think I can arrange for him to borrow from my stash if he doesn't mind a trip to Hawai'i Kai. If he doesn't mind the trip, maybe he should check Chinas if swell is really @ 5ft +. Wish I was there. Ted - I'll pm you w/ details.

My buddy rented some gear and scored some good rides in Waikiki.

The "double overhead" S swell yielded small waves at the south end of the Big Island. I got some decent rides on the HPD and Austin.
