I was updating links in old threads, and I noticed that Uli now is mostly into SUP (paddleboards) and rescue sleds. So the old 4 foot Uli Booger might be a collectible curiosity.

I came across this thread while surfing the site a couple of days ago and remembered I actually had an uli bodyboard!! I searched thru my garage and found it. I had bought it when i started looking at alternative surf vehicles but before I got interested in mats --I did not use it much at the time.....so the last couple of days I took it for a spin. It came with a pump of its own and it blows up really rigid. I found it to be fun in mushy waves--it felt slower than a ply paipo or a mat but was fun nontheless.
today, I rode it in some pretty steep, quick takeoff waves and got pretty much over run-I could not keep from spinning out and losing my line when the wave got steep. When blown up it is probably 2. 5 inches thick with a really round bulbous rail.--i think this kept me from holding in on the steep waves. Maybe I can try to use it with less inflation-maybe that will help.
