Why all black?

[/quote]

You'd have to ask Paul Lindbergh, who made it...but, in Hawaii and other places with clear water and maybe 10 feet of soup on some waves...black stands out best?

Carbon fiber boards are black....

Boards at my homebreak are...well...we have Cooperfish tigerstripes to marble jobs to multicolour airbrush....and then, we also have the dinged to hell gone potato chip and brown "clear" boards that have seen better days...

A few dings are nothing compared to the overall look...and my first bellyboard was a acidwash multicolor job - and....getting it dinged I didn't do- even as a kid.

The El Paipo has green rails and bottom and has a few dings....it isn't a big deal....

After all, what's some polka dots when you have stripes.

Very Happy

It's a damn good thing they wear sunglasses at the beach..

I don't think the sharks will bother with it...

Unless they think it's some kind of exotic cleaner fish.

It ain't no seal, thats for sure.

An old friend of mine, who's an amazing surfer, and who's son shapes for Hobie and is a professional surfer...really likes it.

It's got fresh fun written all over it.

Meanwhile, 90 degrees here lately and 1 - 2 foot "surf".
