way out of time and lacking resources that are here.
The Manly references are a real problem. |

the weird part is that the government would support the I.R.S. like that. _________________ soulglider

Manly, Sydney, OZ that is. Manly art gallery has some surfing memorabilia but the library has some great interviews on the history of waveriding back to about 1885.
Surfresearch is short on much OZ information and the material here (interviews section) on paipos and bellyboards is much better . |

Hello Puurri,
I'll have to get down to Sydney one day. I've had a small amount of contact with Ray Moran from Manly. I have to give Geoff Cater his due though, the paipo interviews owe a debt to his original work. Contacts for Jamie Farfor and Leigh Tingle came from Geoff's site, as did pictures for Bryan Hayden's interview. It's a site I regularly go back to and has some great material there.
Geoff's focus is more on publications as evidence than interviews - there is room for both.
regards

Do understand there is cultural divide between north and south of the Harbour ?
(if you don't then southside has more reefs and heavy waves , northside is for beach break pussies) |

Puurri,
I'm sure there are all sorts of divides. Last October I stayed a few days at Manly for a conference - the waves were way better than anything I'd seen in Qld for months. if this is the crap side, the good side must have been something.
