Mike,

With those nose blocks how do you get such a neat finish -where the woods meet. Do you use a grinder, hand sand or some other method?

bob what I do is glue wood strip togather when dry cut them in about 2" section then alternate them then glue them back togather then glue this block to the nose of the board then on the bottom I use a belt sander to shape the bottom of the lip. now the hard part on top I use a boby grinder with a 4" conical disk 60grit and go slow and make the dished in part on the nose. this can take off alot of wood fast so go slow and take care MIKE Cool

Mike,

Thanks - I'm not surprised that you referred to this as the hard bit - the balance between leavinga slight edge and cutting into the board would seem a fine one.

regards

Bob
