I am working on another plywood spoon because danger woman baught my other one this is birch ply on this one. It will be done next week sometime I will sent pic's when done. It is 48" long 22" at the nose and 18" at the tail MRMIKE Cool

Nice board Mike. What did you use for the edge piece? Is that some kind of re-purposed molding or did you pre-shape the piece before you glued it up? Also, could you post a photo of the rail profile on that board when it's finished? Thanks.

the edge piece started out a 1/4 sheet of 5/8" thick birch ply cut and shaped then glued to the bottom. the rails will be shape last. diamond shape like this <> 2/3 on top with 1/3 on the bottom. this board cost me sofar $23 for 1/4 sheet of 5/8 birch ply and the bottom is also 1/8" birch ply at $11 some glue and sandpaper $5 and varnish about 1/4 qt about $5. for less then $50 you have a nice spooney.( you could use regular ply for $10 less but why, birch is so much nicer MRMIKE Cool

surfed it today, it is like rideing on of sheet of paper. took some big hits very flexable did not break I think I will keep this one MRMIKE Very Happy
