Top this thread...I have a question about Waveskaters and re-read all 4 pages to see if it was already in there somewhere...and let's just say I miss Tumak. My mind is a bit glazed at the moment but I think he wrote that he had something like 5 or 6 Waveskaters and seemed to enjoy the fact they all popped out of the mold different. That seemed to delight him. Smile

So, 2009 questions:

How much do these things weigh?

Anybody have a 2009 Waveskater? They were built by a different factory, and I am wondering if anybody has a more recent observation on the general quality.

Thanks

Nels

I'll try and get a weight this evening but it's very comparable to my BZ Bigbruda 44".
This years GP3 had small surf at the beginning, waist+ and I had a blast on mine. I had lost about 18 lbs since I last rode it and it helped bunches but I'm still a heavy-weight at ~270 lbs.
By the end of the week we had some size, 4-6' w/occ++ sets (8 - 10' faces) paddled out in front of the house while everyone else was napping. It ducks well for me ( being big has its advantages) and paddles well. It handled the bigger waves very well, tracking well with a good turn of speed.
I love it...

Thanks. That kind of info can't be found on their website as far as I can tell, but then I get easily distracted by pretty colors.
