Ya, we were looking to spend Sunday night there, too. My wife, Kerrylea and my team rider, Brenna. We already got our cold water fins in the fridge getting primed. |

I spoke with the Forest Service office up there today; this is the last weekend of the season for campfires until the rains appear so bring firewood if you've got it.
I have a nice 2 person tent that I can bring if anyone needs it..... |

Well, I packed and re-packed 2 or 3 times today, what with the funny water temps down at the beach in Big Sur, Central California. And to think we've just been trunking it in nice low-70s temps the past couple of weeks along the DelMarVa! Guess I just don't like to be cold - so I am bringing two pairs of flippers and two wetsuits (a 4/3 and a 3/2) plus other assorted rubber. Freaked the other day when looking at the swell forecast and thought I read 52F water temps... turned out to be air temps with water closer to 58F.
Look forward to meeting everyone and trying to keep track of who is who. Thanks for all of the offers to assist with camping gear and all, but Kage has assured me he has everything in-place. We can share some beers. _________________ rodNDtube

Bon Voyage!
Leaving here crack o' dawn tomorrow to beat the LA traffic.
Got a couple stops along the way and am hoping to catch a surf somewhere between here and Nipomo where I'll spend the night with an old friend and from there it's a short 100 miles to Plaskett.
Fully packed with grub, coldies, assorted wetties and esoteric prone surf gear.
Might be into doing some board trading if anybody's interested.
See you there........... |

I'm probably the first one home after the GBHPG and I had a great time.
The weather and the surf were not really what we'd hoped for but the lovely setting, good grinds and great company made up for it.
Thanks to everyone, especially Rod for making it all possible.
Can't wait to do it again....... |

It was great meeting you folks. Wish I could have stayed the whole weekend. Good food, good times. Definitely have to make this a tradition. Hope to see you in the water. |

To The Paipo Brotherhood: I had a great time and want to thank EVERYONE for coming and sharing their knowledge, wisdon, stoke, paipo karma... and to Kage for kicking us into geat and organizing The Gathering. Many mahalos to Kage for also being my host and graciously providing camping gear & more.
I plan to put together a web page with my story of The Gathering and to post my pics and other that folks provide - feel free to load them up at this site - it is easier to download large files then to receive them via email.
