Well It took me a while but I finally got around to a redesign on my hand boards. This is a working prototype so it isn't super polished.

- This version is larger by about 25% to enable planing at lower speeds
- Nose has a little rocker
- Replaced the strap with a knob/handle. I built several boards for my friends and they all really wanted to grab onto something rather than being strapped in.
- Replaced the single center fin with two edge fins for better tracking on really vertical shore break waves.

I made it from scrap ABS plastic I got cheap on Ebay and walnut from my shop. I bent the rocker on the nose by heating the ABS carefully over a camp stove burner until it was soft.

Well, I took this thing out today and got shacked a number of times. It was AWESOME! the waves were 4-5ft. with about three sets that were overhead. The board performed really well IMO. The increase in size over my last design seemed to be a good thing. It started to plain at a pretty low speed (though picking up speed was not a problem today). I think I'm going to put handles on the next few designs instead of straps. I like the feel of the handle better then the feel of a strap. I'm not sure why I just do.
