I was at the swapmeet the other day when I saw this guy with all these skim boards for $10 so I bought two. cut the nose off one and glued it to the other plus some scrap basswood then reshaped it. made some nice fins and a cross piece then repoxied it. I call this a simi spoon board or you could call it a teaspoon. it is 37"x21"x1/2" going to try it out in the morning MIKE Cool

The board looks amazing Mike (love the roundish) shape, and so does the wingfin. Did you get to test it yet.

Tried the teaspoon today the surf was 3 to 4 ft kind of mushey. the board worked well a little flexy but not bad. the wing fin worked ok but I think you need to get it up to 100mph for it to work. you would need a lot more surface area to work at low speeds but it look cool and that all that counts. Like I say you could take a 1/2 sheet of 1/2" ply from the home depot and have fun with it in the surf. MIKE Cool
