No I don't...

My mother keeps her entire fleet of power tools in the main entrance hallway..

You know...just past the mail and right before you hang up your coats...

It's a real long hallway.....

She has those steamer trunks full of them....I think 2 but the tools wind up all over the floor and...ever dig through steamer trunks looking for drills or jigsaws or....sanders or....spare batteries....everything can wind up all over.

I'd like to do a show with Martha Stewart called The Real World, where she gets taken around to meet other people and has to hear their decorating ideas....

"just step over the skil saw"...

Not sunbrella, just plain ol' canvas; http://store.yahoo.com/phoenixtextiles/ur-128.html - it's cheap and durable, holds up well when my dog decides to play 'find the other dog' in the furniture by digging through the cushions. About a quarter the price of Sunbrella too. It gets dirty? No prob, just replace it and make the old ones into drop cloths or pump covers.

As for 'step over the skilsaw' ...no, that's the kitchen. I can't quite see Martha Stewart at my place. She'd prolly run off begging to be put in jail.

Here, for some awesome heavy duty hemp/cotton upholstery/drapery fabric...in such classoc op/art designs as Tiki and Boomerang, you just can't beat melina made designs

http://www.melinamade.com/

Be sure to click on The Magic of Swatch - o - Vision

The one stop shop for redoin' an Airstream for baja trips.

Or, fabric for making board bags...

That Celestial Aqua and Jetson White, not to mention the Tiki and Boomerangs...would be great.....

Hmmm...

Wayull - as the next things I'm putting together are for the boat, and as they bring sniffer dogs on every boarding..I think hemp cloth in any form is kinda out, y'know?

Just as a bit of info - the current 'zero tolerance' policy means that if you have a boat where the sniffer dogs find anything, they confiscate it. And then you have to prove your innocence, at considerable expense, to get it back. The same thing goes for vehicles at borders, etc. Airstream with hemp coming back from Baja ...could get ugly. I remember somebody asking me about hemp board bags for travelling......

On the other hand - http://www.sailrite.com/ is having a sale on some stuff that'd do .... look under Sale Items in their online store. A helluva lot less than the $35-$44/yard that the melina stuff is selling for.

For myself...being a low rent kinda guy.... snagged ten yards of Pacific Blue Sunbrella seconds for everything from cushions to awnings. And some leftovers from the canvas biz for odds and ends. Amazing, how many leftover bits and pieces there are.......

I can see it now, as one of those "What happened on my trip to...." in the Surfers Journal.

A surfers midnight express story, all triggered by a hemp board bag.

In Celestial Aqua.

I was actually more concerned about how it would hold up with saltwater.

http://www.homestead.com/barkclothhawaii/

http://www.barkclothhawaii.com/web_pages/canvas.htm - go with the upholstery grade 100% cotton canvas

have fun......[/img]

Here are some new links to photos/diagram of the flex paipo which accompany my post on Jan. 10, 2004. The polyethylene false deck weighs just under 2 lbs., the flex spoon weighs 6 1/2 lbs.

You're welcome Poobah!

That board was a fascinating project... it went through quite a few changes! I was never able to explore all my ideas relating to this type of flexible, finless paipo, but I learned a lot and had some great fun along the way.
