John Boy has almost reached critical mass. Just another coat or two of varnish. The surface-mounted concave is a modified MDF toilet seat.
John Boy 36 x 20 inches. The plywood is 3/4 inch marine ply. For my laminate I used one of them paper toliet seat bands from one of them fancy motels that gots indoor plumbing. The paper crinkled a bit in the varnish. So I sanded the high spots on the paper, and gave it a ragged sort of look. "Sparkling Clean for your protection" was one of the great lies of the 20th century. Some days I scare myself.

Dual use machine? A solution to the Numeros Dos issue!

Interested to learn how it will work... seems like the full seat could cause some turbulance.

Yes, I expect some turbulation. This is an experiment in pearling prevention on a rockerless board. It can be ridden label-side up or down. Will there be a significant difference? I'll let you know if the crash test dummy survives to talk about it.

...nevertheless, apparently less contaminated with bacteria than the average kitchen counter (especially if cleaned with a sponge).

Heh heh heh...

...and then I thinks, cut that toilet seat into about 2/3, feather it down, put it on the deck nose, and you have an excellent grip or maybe lower and instant belly well...
