There were a couple of hard charging paipo riders visiting here in Oregon this past week. Here are a few pics of them in action:

- NC drops in with Slicer Dicer :

- Our esteemed host and moderator R2 cranking a turn on Green Disk V. Check out that plume of spray coming off the rail! Despite the bumpy conditions these waves had a lot of juice left over from the recent big swell.

- NC sets up Slicer to race around a section:

In the third photo I can see the riders legs and fin. A real magic carpet ride. A small rider, a very skilled rider or both???

NC spent an afternoon playing with the Checkered Demon - quick study. That fish is dialed in!

NC is a large (6+ foot, 190#) and very skilled rider driving Slicer as it was designed to be ridden. That 54" length is to provide enough room to rest the front of your thighs on the board and pretty much get your body completely out of the water when you bend your knees.

The plan template towards the tail pulls the rails in sharply and that is also where the skegs attach. You can see where it makes the break in the photo on your site. Even though it doesn't have a whole lot of tail rocker the design still makes for a quick turning board when it gets leaned over. Thank you, John Mel.

NC says all he had to do was just think about where he wanted to put it on the wave and WHAM! ... it just went right there.

I might be getting down to SD in January. I'll be sure to bring Slicer if I do. How are your injuries coming along? Wink

I'm better. As well as can be. No new injuries.

Yes, a lot of rail curve in the tail of the Mel template. Interesting...
