In relation to the 60's kick nose style surfboard on e-bay recently, you may be interested in these shots of the belly board 'world championship' (har, har!). The shots were taken at Chapel Porth - my home break: http://www.pbase.com/prisk/belly_board_world_championship. If you browse Kirstin's web site you'll also see some good body boarding images showing you the kind of surf which Cornwall is capable of providing.
