OkThey are esentially a modern variant of the old tire inner tube in a burlap sack. Better shape and less drag than the old burlap tube, but there is still drag.

How about a modified windsurfer as a kneelo paddle craft.? Ever try that? Some old windsurfers can be very inexspensive or even free.
